Our Closeboard Fencing Products
Closeboard fencing is a simple and effective type of fencing. Consisting of Posts, Rails, Gravel Boards and individual Featheredge Boards or Ready Made Panels.
Linnell Bros offer a wide range of Closeboard Fencing products depending on the length and height of the fence and wether you require Ready Made Panels or the individual components. Ready Made Panels can be quicker to install, on either wooden or concrete posts, but are less flexible due to each panel being 1.8m wide and increasing in height in increments of 300mm. Linnell Bros Closeboard Panels are very well constructed and are fully framed. The 1.8m x 1.8m have 3 horizontal support battens. They come either Green or Brown treated. For Closeboard fences made with individual components we have a large range of Notched Posts, Arris Rails, Gravel Boards and the Individual Featheredge Boards. Linnell Bros timber comes from sustainable forests. The timber is treated on site, in our state of the art facility, to UC4 standard and comes in either Green or Brown colour.
Depending on the size of bays required Linnell Bros can supply your requirements. 2.4m, 3.0m and 3.6m bays are stock items, as are 1.8m, 2.4m and 2.7m Vnotched Posts. Any other sizes can be catered for and cut in our on site Mill. Featheredge Boards are stocked in various lengths from 1.05m up to 3.6m and widths from 100mm to 150mm. Linnell Bros also stock Slotted Concrete Posts for Closebaord Panels, along with Concrete Morticed or Recessed Concrete Posts for Arris Rails and Cant Rails.

Closeboard Fencing errected using individual components offers a more flexible solution. It is more suitable for sloping ground or where the height needs to vary. The size of the Bay, within reason, is also variable, allowing for short runs to fit in with buildings or other fixed obstcales.

Maintenance and Care
The Closeboard Fencing timber supplied by Linnell Bros is Pressure Treated to help prevent attack from insects, fungal infection & rot, so it has a desired life of 15 years. To help maintain the life of the fence you should apply a timber preservative every couple of years. Any overhanging branches should be cut back and the fence should be kept as clear from debris as possible. Any damaged individual boards can be replaced.

Yes, we keep over £1,000,000 worth of stock at our 10-acre headquarters at Silverstone; we can deliver most items directly from stock. For more specialist requirements we can cut to size on site and deliver your timber ready to use, or special order items of significance.
Yes, our professional drivers can deliver your goods directly to your site, usually within 3 working days (although not on a Saturday). For orders over £500, delivery is free to the local area, please contact us for a quote.
Yes, our wood is sourced from sustainable and renewable forests.
Yes, we have invested in the latest technology available to treat all our softwood at our purpose built facility to ensure the highest quality and durability. Our timber is treated to UC4 level.
We accept all major Credit and Debit cards, Cash and Cheques as well as BACS payments. All are payable on site prior to delivery/collection. We do not accept American Express. We also accept payment over the phone.
