Garden Decking

Timber decking is a popular choice for a new garden project, whether you’re looking at a space to socialise and entertain or to wind down and relax. It will bring a warmer and more natural feel to your outdoor space compared to a composite option.
Softwood decking when pressure treated is structurally sound and can withstand harsh weather conditions whereas premium hardwood is naturally durable and requires no treatment. We can source hardwood options such as Balau and Iroko which will offer a unique aesthetic.
Timber decking is flexible and versatile meaning it can be easily cut and arranged into your desired layout by DIY and professional contractors.

Maintenance and Care

Decked areas look fantastic when new and maintained properly, but if left unattended for a long period of time you run the risk of the timber becoming tired and weathered.
The good news is there are several ways you can maintain your decking area to ensure you maximise its life span such as the following;

  • Regularly clean your decking to prevent build-up of moss, mould and algae.
  • Try not to let water accumulate on your decking as this can contribute to the decking losing its colour.
  • Use clear UV protection oils throughout the hot summer months.

Types of decking treatment

There are 5 main types of treatment for wooden decking, all of which can either protect, preserve, maintain, restore, and rejuvenate.

  • Decking Cleaners and Restorers
  • Decking Preservers
  • Coloured & Clear Decking Oils
  • Decking Stains
  • Decking Paints
