Linnell Brothers Ltd are currently looking for a Class 2 to join the team at their head office in Silverstone near Northampton. This is a full time position and will come with a competitive salary. Multi Drop Experience preferred but not essential. Possibility of Class 3 work included

Based in Silverstone, Northamptonshire, a stones throw from the famous F1 Motor Racing Circuit, Linnell Bros is one of the UK’s longest established Timber Merchants. We’ve been supplying quality timber products for over 130 years.

Over the years, Linnell Bros has diversified to offer a complete range of timber products, many of which are manufactured on-site in the company’s comprehensively equipped workshop. We run a fleet of three 7.5t vehicles and four 26t Vehicles, with Crane unload

• Experience of multi drop deliveries.
• Experience of load safety, including strapping.
• Good customer facing skills.
• Knowledge of Tacho Rules and Working Times
• Able to organise and manage workload well.
• A valid driving licence, with a maximum of 6 points.
• Up to date CPC and Drivers Card.

• Helping to load vehicles, ensuring orders are complete, and planning best routes.
• Carrying out all daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects to the relevant person.
• Carry out multi drop deliveries and unloading vehicle by hand where required.
• Organising Delivery Paperwork and ensuring, where possible, delivery notes are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Keeping vehicle clean.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ideally some experience of operating a hiab offload vehicle
• FULL TRAINING IS PROVIDED

We are currently looking for a Sales Advisor to join the team at our head office in Silverstone near Northampton. This is a full time position and will come with a competitive salary. Experience working with building merchants preferred but not essential.

Over the years, we have diversified to offer a complete range of timber products, many of which are manufactured on-site in the company’s comprehensively equipped workshop.  For example, our gates are all made to order on-site by experienced craftsmen using traditional construction methods and high quality, sustainably-sourced timber, pressure-treated with Tanalith E preservative in our own treatment plant.

• Experience of working in an inbound sale advisor role, with a curious and proactive approach and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers
• Motivation to secure and increase sales orders through existing and new business
• The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
• Able to organise and manage workload well
• A proven track record in acquiring and servicing external sales and business opportunities, often managing multiple orders and enquiries at once
• Strong commercial and financial understanding coupled with a professional and intelligent approach to capitalise on potential profitable business
• A full driving licence is preferred.

• Build strong internal relationships with branch and sales colleagues to identify and develop new, lapsed or dormant business opportunities
• Act as a key point of contact both internally and externally for any timber related queries and manage the supply and demand of timber in view of ongoing and forthcoming opportunities
• Create and build a pipeline of prospective business
• Develop trusting relationships both internally and externally in order to provide exceptional customer service to maintain repeat trade.
• Maximising all customer interactions by upselling and cross selling relevant products
• Realising full potential of all customer interactions and build strong, effective relationships with customers and suppliers.

We are currently looking for a Mill Operative to join our head office in Silverstone near Northampton. This is a full time position and will come with a competitive salary. Experience working with timber, tools and machinery preferred but not essential.
